Feeling a bit better and mice

Good morning/afternoon/evening wherever you are at the time of reading this :-)

How's you been this week?????
I am starting to feel a bit better which is good although my sleeping pattern is still a bit out of kink so tiredness is hampering me fully feeling better boo hoo!

It has been half term this week so I have been working a lot and had my eldest daughter home this week which is lovely. I love being able to squish her cute cheeks whenever I fancy it even though most times she normally moans at me 'Muuuum get off me'! It won't ever stop me from doing it though I love her too much to not want to squish her and make her eek out loud, plus being a mum means that it is my job to squish her when she is least expecting it :-)

I have however sneaked in a bit of time to make some new things, well quite a few as I have made a folder on my Facebook page Catherynne's Treats just for Earrings and there is quite a variety of different ones in there. One of my favs being these green peacock style ones.

The bead is just stunning and I have got two pairs ready to have a new owner!
So go on who wants them???

I have also made two new bracelets (well I made them last week but forgot to share the pics wth you all sorry, I blame my sieve like brain).

The first one has a fantastic painted ceramic focal bead with some beautiful turquoise beads flecked with brown finished off with a fantastic dropped heart toggle clasp. This one is available over in my Etsy shop as I am slowly filling it up.
If any of you lovelies do like any of my things send me a message and I can sort out how to pay so you can either buy it from my Etsy shop or through Facebook but either way it will be easy and very quick :-)
Here is my Etsy shop Catherynne's Treats if you fancy popping over and having a peep.

This is the second bracelet I have just listed, it is a very pretty but unusual bracelet with a funky oval focal bead with spots all over it. To either side it has beautiful big flower glass beads and to either side of that there are crackle beads and smaller czech beads that taper off to the lovely dropped heart clasp that I love to use.

See what I mean about being unusual but very pretty and would look fantastic on any wrist :-)

Right I am going to pop off now but before I do I am going to leave you with one last photo of a new line for Catherynne's Treats, little polymer clay mice!
They are so cute, I have made three so far and this is the first one ready for a new home so if you feel like you have somewhere lovely that he can sit and watch the world go by let me know and I can soon have him in the post for you :-)

Take care and speak soon

Steam punk and being ill

Hey lovely peeps :-)

I need to say a big sorry for not posting last week but I have not been very well and I needed to have a bit of a break and recharge my batteries a bit! But I am back and feeling much better and have loads of new ideas so if someone can invent a longer day so I can sit and make things I will be a super dooper happy lady :-)

I have got my two girls watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse curled up on the sofa and hubby to be is writing his computer game blog Karlos! Morale! Have a read it always makes me laugh!!

So I have got about half an hour to myself before I am needed for various mum stuff.

I am going to start with my biggest news, it may not seem like a lot or even a big thing but I have had a custom made stamp made to put on envelopes for when I post out my Treats to my fantastic customers! I have wanted to get one made for ages but it has been on the list of ever growing things for a while so I typed in stamps in Ebay and whahooo here it is.
I totally love it and it helps give my customers that extra special handmade feel that I want for my business.
I have used it a few times now too so if you have had it on your packages do let me know what you think??

Right next on the list is steam punk.
Who likes the whole steam punk look??? I totally love it and have been slowly getting some bits and bobs to make some truly awesome pieces. I love the colour, the shapes and just the whole thing really and I find myself really inspired when I have these pieces out in front of me. I am a very symmetrical person but when I have these out I don't know what it is but I have to make things wonkey!
This is one I made last night and has a beautiful rose clasp on the right and some filgree balls to the left with some czech glass beads on both sides finished off with a very very steam punk cog heart pendant finishing it off.
See what I mean about making it wonkey, I have never put a clasp on the side of a necklace yet on this it looks perfect and very at home where it is :-)
Wheee for fantastic jewellery!!

This is the second necklace that I made yesterday, again can you see what I mean about making them wonkey. The amazing glass beads begged me to make the sides differently!
This again is a long necklace and has teeny tiny seed beads at the top and bottom of the glass beads, and at the bottom of the butterfly I have added the most amazing teeny tiny set of keys I recently found are these not THE most cutest things you have ever ever seen!!!!!
Both of these necklaces will be available over on my page Catherynne's Treats

So let me know what you think of my interpretation of steam punk below in the comments box and don't forget to subscribe to the blog so you don't miss out on any in the future and I promise I won't leave it as long next time till the next blog!

Take care and see you soon

Monday 4 February 2013

Hellooooo :-)

Welcome to my blog for my delicious job Catherynne's Treats :-)

I did try to write this on Sunday night as it is now what I do on a Sunday night but Blogger was having some issues and would not let me upload any pictures which is kinda frustrating as there is no point in having a blog that I write about the newest things I have made if I cannot show you them!! Boo to Blogger.

So it is now working whooo so what I have been up to this week!

Well I have treated myself to some antique gold plated findings and chain ( all the bits you need to make deliciously pretty jewellery things with ) and oh my gosh I am totally in love with it. So far I have always used silver tone in my jewellery but I love the look of the antique against certain coloured beads so I headed on over to Ang's Attic and got all the things that I would need to use to make some fantastic jewellery!

So here we go this is the first piece I made using the antique gold a stunning long necklace teamed with some very very delicious large glass beads I just picked up and yup I sold almost straight away wheee!
I hope the lovely lady that bought it is enjoying it as much as I did making it!

The next thing I made was another necklace using the same findings and chain and butterfly ( I have never used a butterfly in my work before and only bought two but love them soo much and will be getting more yay ) I used some very contrasting turquoise beads flecked with brown and made it into a double strand necklace with the strands going up into the bottom of the butterfly.  In the middle of the top chain I decided to make a tiny little pendant using some of the fantastic turquoise beads and some tiny brown seed beads, and wow I am impressed! It hangs beautifully around your neck and will go with so many outfits and will make you the talk of the town wearing this!
I love making all sorts of things and deciding what goes with what and also what doesn't but these are a fabbylicious match made in heaven!
Come and have a look and let me know what you think below in the comments box!

I also made a bracelet to match the double strand necklace, and am offering a discount of £3 if bought together over on my page Catherynne's Treats

Photo: Here is a bracelet made with the same amazing turquoise beads speckled with brown as in my newest necklace, they have tiny brown seed beads and antique gold spacers in there too for good measure! It is finished off with a lovely lobster clasp <3
This is £10 including postage <3 xxx

So what are you waiting for hop on over and treat yourself today :D

I am signing off for the night, so stay tuned and go on treat yourself to some amazing handmade jewellery today! All of these are one of a kind and will not ever be made again!
